“A Wake-Up Story”

I’ve gone from typical consumer to natural mama extraordinaire. And looking back over the past five years, the changes we made didn’t happen overnight. It was a long process, but one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done!

You’re probably reading my blog because you’re looking for a few changes yourself. No problem. I have a simple 101-step process to becoming a happier, healthier, planet saving super-being! Hah! There’s no check-list 😉

*Gasp* Where to start?

I’ll take you back to my first eye opener: A Wake-Up Story from Healthy Child Healthy World.

I saw this video before I was pregnant, and it is the baby step I needed to spark a passion of a natural lifestyle.

The changes we made didn’t happen overnight. And when we ventured down this path, I never dreamed I’d be where I am today, sharing my journey with you!

But if there is one thing I’d like to share, it’s don’t be afraid to start. Small, teeny changes all make a difference. Take a few baby steps, and before you know it, you’ll have walked a mile 😉

Curious how far we’ve come?

Then Now
Frequent restaurant goers (ignorant to quinoa and kale) Cook at home nightly, often with with fresh garlic and butter from grass-fed cows
Fans of Scrubbing Bubbles & 409 Clean nearly exclusively with vinegar, water and baking soda
Bought Yoplait yogurts 20 at a time to get $0.37 sale price Buy plain yogurt from a farm and sweeten with fruit and maple syrup
Recycled, usually, but mostly when it was convenient Recycle 4 times than the amount of trash be produce (and ONE bag of trash on Christmas!)
Microwaved plastic — eek! Use only glass in the microwave (but our microwave mostly just used as a bread box)
Frebrezed our house to “freshen” Open windows for fresh air and diffuse essential oils

A small start anywhere, is a start somewhere.
